SESSION WITH INTERPRETATION IN PORTUGUESE SIGN LANGUAGE: 30 OCT, SUNDAY AT 5.30PM

"From her untidy room, a woman calls her lover who has just abandoned her. The telephone calls a bodyless voice, a voice without a place, but full of sonorous presence. A voice caught in a communications network, subject to interference, mixed lines and abrupt terminations. What are we looking for in a voice? A direct connection to the human?! Nevertheless, this connection gets constantly lost in the advent of technology and the man is being transformed into an inorganic simulacrum of his own. The voice does not bring back to us the image of a face. Trsnformed into electroacustic signals, it has become the desguise of reality. Are we still going to be able to reconstruct the body ignoring this other dimension of the real? " Carlos Pimenta | Raquel Castro
